About Lexi

Lexi is an active, two-year old Beagle mix who loves to play, play, play! She would prefer a home with active humans and canines, but no young children. Lexi's personality is fun, friendly, and loud! She won't hesitate to use that Beagle voice when her need for attention and play isn't being met. But in those moments when she's ready to calm down and snuggle, she's the sweetest little girl you'll meet. When Lexi came to Hands of Hope, she was confused and scared and nipped at her foster human when she felt her access to food was compromised. She was also hesitant to let her human pet her back or pick her up. Over the last several weeks Lexi has learned that humans can be trusted, and that she no longer needs to worry about her next meal. Lexi is housebroke and crated when her human is away. She eagerly goes into her crate when directed to, but she's quick to let you know she'd rather be out playing. She is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you are looking for a young, playful canine companion, Lexi is your girl!
