Bella is 1-1/2 years old, neutered and front-declawed, strictly in doors only, weighs about 12 lbs. and chubby around the middle. She is currently with an elderly couple and is loved and pampered. Wife has serious health issues and is trying to place her in the very near future. She had a rough start as she was found outside underneath a dumpster at about 8 weeks old and has always been extremely afraid of loud noises or children and wasn't properly socialized so she requires some patience. She hides at first and may hiss at you if she doesn't know you, but once she knows you, she is a huge lap cat and will follow you around like a shadow, and loves playing with her toys (loves to play fetch). She can be won over gradually with treats, but best way to break her in would be to keep her in a separate room for a few days and let her hide under the bed until she is more familiar with her surroundings. She will only do well with a single person or couple with no children as she's afraid of too much commotion or noise. Although she has been living with a 13-year-old male cat for the past 1-1/2 years, it took awhile to introduce them, but it can be done. They get along fine now, although she tends to be bossy at times.
