About Kairi

LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY: It's puppy time!!! Say hello to cute Kairi! She Was born on September 20 so is currently 7 weeks old. Kairi is one of 5 pups born to Mamma Mia who was found as a stray in Lillian and never claimed. We aren't sure what breed Mamma Mia is. In our opinion she looks like she has some Beagle and Dachshund in the mix but we have no information on the father of the litter. Mamma Mia currently weighs around 15-17 pounds but we can already tell the pups will be bigger than she is. Beagles and Dachshunds can grow to anywhere between 18-25 pounds on average, if that's what we have here. Kairi currently weighs just over 5 pounds and she is current on her shots to date. Puppies have three sets of shots in their first 8-10 weeks so any remaining shots are included in the price of her adoption fee, as well as her spay, when she is old enough, as long as this is done at our vet. Puppies are very active and need a lot of attention when they are young. They also need a safe place to run and play to burn off energy so a fenced in yard or exercise area is a must once they are allowed outside. Puppies have no off switch so you'll need to eat your Wheaties every day to be up for the challenge and, just like when you have a small child, try to nap when they do!!! They are like active toddlers and will get into things you didn't even think about, so you need to watch them to make sure they stay out of trouble for the first few weeks until they settle and learn the house rules.
