About PIXIE

PIXIE, 3 years old, 37 lbs, Garden City Park, LI A volunteer writes: She really can make faces and photographing her can be a challenge to try to get a shot showing a more girly side. Pixie is tiny like a fairy, really cute and petite. Who would not love her underbite? As i needed to know her better, I took her out a few times. Initially timid, she opened up to the point that she hopped on her own on the bench next to me, cuddled with me and even kissed me. Pixie just needs you to let her do things at a slow pace, at her pace. She has no handling issues, got outfitted with coats, silly tiaras and neck pieces without a whisper. Pixie was cool with it all. Pixie pulls on the leash, does her business as soon as she is out in the street. She is interested in other dogs and does quite well in playgroups with her peers. We were told that she is not a fan of cats. She loves treats and will sit readily for them. She will run briefly after a ball. I guess Pixie and I need a little bit more time together to discover her other talents.
