About Slater

Slater is a 5.5 month old male black shepherd. He was originally found as a stray on the streets of Jurupa Valley. A nice Samaritan kept him while trying to locate owners. No collar/ no chip. She called and asked if I would take him into rescue, I agreed to meet him. This poor boy was so terrified, that if you stepped forward he would cower to the ground and urinate on himself. I decided a different approach and layed a blanket down and sat down and ignored him and not 5 minutes later he was in my lap. Slater is still a little shy but he's completely come out of his shell. He loves his other dog friends here, he loves to play fetch, and seems to enjoy soaking it up in the kiddie pools. He's gonna be a large boy. He's currently about 68 pounds. He is crate trained and almost completely housebroken. He's still a clumsy pup.
