About Tayla

Tayla is a 2 year old white and black pit mix. We are integrating a 4 dog pack from my my wife's side and Tayla is best as 1 or 2 dog pet. She has been well socialized at a boarding kennel here in the Cayman Islands for the last year and a half that subscribes to communal day camps and overnight boarding She gets on well with my older dog of 11 years and they are best friends now. She has some good obedience skills and can sit, high five with each leg, lie down (most times), stay (some times), retrieve balls and 'RELEASE' them at your feet and she will wait for the 'OK' command to take treats if you ask her to 'WAIT' - she is a gentle eater and not food aggressive at all. She is good at the 'LEAVE IT' command if she grabs something she is not supposed and the 'NO BEGGING' command at the table or around food. She is very active and has caught chickens and iguanas and had a cat cornered. She is loving, kind and LOVES to snuggle on the bed or couch or wherever you are and she can be close. We recently and irresponsibly tried to force integration with our Chihuahua and in an altercation over a toy, she grabbed and bit the Chihuahua who is now recovering, thankfully, but I need / want to, consider my relationship and marriage and the best for all of the animals that are and will be involved. Ideally a home with no small pets, grown children, lots of daily exercise and access to swimming would suit her best. She is an indoor outdoor dog and has been allowed on couches, beds and furniture - she LOVES to snuggle. She eats 3/4 cup Victor Salmon and Sweet potato kibble twice daily with plain yoghurt in the mornings and half a can of tuna or sardines at night and she is super fit and healthy. I will supply crate, toys, leashes, bowl I will FLY her at my expense to your airport and bring her to your home.
