About Molly

This is Molly. She has been my dad's constant companion for the last 3 years. My Dad has stage 4 leiomyosarcoma and is putting up a heck of a fight. My dad and Molly are living with us now and we need to find Molly a good, new home. She is a 5 year old Pit mix. She is a sweetheart, but needs a new family that is experienced with dogs and stern. She will scare you to death if you are afraid of dogs because she does look like a Pit and she growls to get your attention (that is just her way of saying pay attention to me). She is generally not aggressive, but she is protective. She gets along fine with my male Yorkie and male Yorkie-Poo, but she and my female Doberman mix occasionally disagree. Molly wants to be the alpha and Piper is not cooperating. Even when Molly has 'fought' with Piper, it has been just noise, no real biting or attempt to injure her. Just typical dog trying to bully another dog and assert dominance. Lately, they have been getting along fine. That said - Molly would probably be better in a home with smaller dogs or possibly a larger male. Also probably better in a home without small children, as she can knock them over and will nip at them if they continually pester her (she did this with my niece and nephew - again, not aggression, just leave me alone warning). We are not asking for any rehoming fee or anything of the sort. But a donation to the rescue is appreciated. We just want her to find a good home.
