HE IS URGENT This super handsome cattle dog needs out of the shelter! SCOTTY #A4155058 is a grouch in his kennel, but MUCH happier out and you can see his personality shine. He would like a rescue ASAP please...his breed does not do well at the shelter and he is quite defensive/snappy in his kennel. In the yard he has done well with dogs and new handlers...and he loves turkey! 10/21/2018 EVALUATION barked/lunged at front of kennel; dog softened slightly at back of kennel; appeared fearful/defensive, but did not lunge/snap; lip curled, bit at leash repeatedly; once leashed, dog stopped snapping, hesitant, but exited kennel; walked on leash; explored yard; tolerated collar placement; climbed on handler's lap, jumped up to solicit attention; neutral greeting female dog at fence; greeted/inspected, coexisted w/ other dog; tolerant; gentle dainty; returned to kennel 10/21/2018 EVALUATION project dog candidate to improve kennel pull; rec new hope/rescue to get dog out of shelter environment ASAP; dog can be adopted- rec adopter experienced with breed and ages 12-14+ Scotty is located at MCAC East in Mesa, Arizona.
