About Raven

Adoption Fee: $160
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hello! My name is Raven. Tomorrow I get spayed and will be looking for my furever home. Foster mom and her friend rescued my brother and I with no plan and no rescue backing. All she knew was we were being poorly treated and she had to get us out. She took us in riddled with 3 types of intestinal worms and heart worms. We have since been fully vetted- we are up to date on our shots and worm free! We've gained at least 10# each and have come a long way from where we were. My foster brother found his home a week ago. I am very happy for him, but now I want to find mine. I turned 4 on April 1st and am half husky half Australian cattle dog. If you are familiar with either of these breeds then you know that I am very smart and very energetic. Foster mom says the husky is strong in me because when I am bored and under exercised, I can get destructive (mostly remotes) and I can Houdini my way out of kennels and yards. I also shed a LOT as I am double coated. Shaving my coat does not help with shedding and only puts me in harms way of sunburn, parasites, and over heating. If you cannot handle these things, stop reading now. On the bright side, I am very sweet. I love to cuddle and give hugs (very great ones so I'm told). I'm also a sucker for belly rubs. I love walks, and chewing on hooves. I know how to sit and I occasionally give my paw. I am very very smart and very athletic. I can clear a 2 ft baby gate and fetch is one of my favorite pass times! Foster mom says I would make an excellent sporting dog if you're into that kind of thing. I am house broken and kennel trained- it's in my best interest you kennel me when you're not home. I'm good with other dogs (big and small), but I can be a little rambunctious. While I don't start fights, I do finish them (so if you have another reactive dog, this probably won't work). I'm so-so with cats- I haven't attacked foster mom's but she wouldn't leave me unsupervised with her either. If all of this sounds like you could love me for the rest of my days here, this is what you do next. Because of the circumstances in which I was found, foster mom wants vet references for any potential parents of mine to make sure any previous or current fur kids of yours are well taken care of. If that checks out, we're then asking for a rehoming fee of $160. If you can comply with this, foster mom will want to do a home check- I most definitely need a fenced in yard! Foster mom would much prefer someone willing to keep in touch as she is very attached to me. She will also have papers to sign saying if things don't work out, she wants me back to try and find me another home. We're willing to do meet and greets if you have other pups and want to make sure it will work out.
