About FELIX

Hello my name is Felix,,, My human dumped me in a kill shelter in TN,, my human did not take very good care of me and I got heartworm, But I went to the hospital and was treated for my heart worm and now I just have to stay on the heart worm meds and soon they will be all gone. I know the pill only cost $10 a month and my human didn't care and I got sick. I was also dumped with my friends but they all got adopted and I sat there all alone, I was scared because you see my time was up and I heard they were going to kill me. Then I was saved but I had to take a long ride to Vermont and now I am with Suzie.. I have lots of dogs to play with but sometimes I get jealous of the other dogs when they get to close to Suzie you see she is the first human that has loved on me and taking care of me. I get two really good home cooked meals a day and they are even served warm, she brushes me and pets me and hugs me and tells me all the time I am beautiful. I am super shy and at first when I got here I jumped on a shelf in the bathroom and stayed there for a week until I felt safe to come out. Once I knew Suzie was a kind and gentle person I made my way down off the shelf and now I am a part of her pack of hospice dogs. Even though I love Suzie and she is super nice to me, I really want my own family so I can love them and take care of them. I wish I could be the only dog but sometimes I know that is not possible so I will like a friend but be warned I am still learning that I am not suppose to growl when another dog come close to Suzie. She says I can't get petted if I growl but sometime she forgets. I am a bigger guy I am between 12 and 15 pounds so I am not a tiny chihuahua that you have to be careful off. I am quiet I don't engage in barking like the other chihuahuas that are at Suzie's house boy are they loud, that is another reason why I would love my own family I am hoping they are quieter. I am still young at 4 years old. Just know that I am very shy, and when we first meet I might hide on you but once I know you are my family I will so love you. I have never played with toys so I really don't know what to do with them and I don't know how to play maybe in time I will learn. I am very good in the house and I only use my pee pad. Once I tried to pee on something at Suzie's house and she told me no I know I wasn't suppose to do it but I wanted to mark where another dog did. So I promise to only use a pee pad if I forget you just have to tell me no once and I wont do it again.. Please consider to adopt me I sooo soooo sooo want my own family for the up coming holidays. Suzie said small kids may not be good for me because I am so shy and scared and sometimes little children are loud and scary..
