About Ruger

Due to scheduling conflicts between my husband and myself as well as having two very young children, we had to make the decision to part with our beloved Ruger. He is a fantastic boy and loves his human more than words describe. He is sweet on my one and a half year old daughter. He loves being told he's a good boy and handsome though he can be a little shy at first. He does enjoy barking and going for walks so he can sniff everything. He's higher energy than we can handle and unfortunately we had to move into an apartment complex where he used to have full reign of my home. He lived with three other dogs for a while and now only has one very low energy sibling who is aging. He lived briefly with a cat and all he wanted to do was chase her. He does have Lyme and environmental allergies which are being controlled by medicine. We feel awful that we cannot give him the love and affection and attention to his energy that he needs. We got him as a puppy before I found out I was pregnant so he has been with us since 14 weeks old and at the time had all his needs met. With two careers and two children, we are unable to keep up with him and only want the best for our good boy.
