About Ginger

Ginger is an adorable, happy girl who loves to play fetch in the yard and who loves people. She is very smart and well trained by a previous owner. She weighs approximately 50 lbs, is also completely housebroken & has not made any messes. We rescued her from a local Pet Resource Center over 1 month ago because they were over full capacity and we thought our senior lab could use a companion. The Center had her listed as 9 yrs old but our vet verified she is more like 4 or 5 yrs old. Also, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is an amazing breed but we have learned that they can be dominant. We noticed this right away after bringing her home with a couple of altercations between Ginger & Miley (our senior lab). They were not severe but enough to make Miley afraid of Ginger completely. But she does avoid her often unless they are outside, then they are good. Ginger also loves to swim in the pool so that is a plus if you have one and she sleeps on her own bed on floor or on the rug. We have become very attached to her but in fairness to our Lab, Miley we're looking for a new good home now for Ginger. I think it would be best if you had no pets however if you do have one or two, it will take some time. If you are looking for a wonderful, sweet and smart dog, please contact us.
