About Dudley

Meet Dudley!! This beautiful little boy is only 8 months old and is a true Maltipoo which is a mix of Maltese and Poodle. Making him non-shedding and hypoallergenic. He weighs in at about 13 pounds and won't get significantly bigger. He had a rough start to life. A young girl accidentally bred her female dog (at least that was the story) and kept him from the litter along with a bunch of other dogs in her mobile home trailer. After being cited for having an excessive amount of dogs she sought a home for Dudley. You will see a picture of Dudley here that shows how we first received him. Matted, full of fleas and ticks and pretty shut down. She had never even named him the first 8 months of his life and kept him in a small room where he had limited interaction as well as limited touching. Dudley is very sweet and very playful! Loves other dogs and cats! And he will follow you everywhere and lick you! Which is a big departure already since he came to rescue shy and shaking. His true personality blossoms every day. At first he was scared of toys and now he LOVES them! Plays chase with his best friend here named Fiona and tries to get the tennis ball off of his German Shepherd hero named Max. You can pick him up and hold him but he is still scared of hands, although he will fall asleep on your lap in the car and cuddle in bed at night. He requires a family that will continue to constantly interact with him and give him the life he didn't start with. Dudley will not be placed in a home where everyone works full time and he spends alot of time alone. He is the type of dog that is going to grow by leaps and bounds quickly with the right type of living situation. His adoption fee includes the following: Professional grooming, neuter, rabies, current vaccinations, housebreaking, microchip, Nexguard flea and tick treatment, harness, leash and new bed. An adoption fee does apply. As we pre-screen via email please tell us a bit about you such as your lifestyle, work schedule, activity level, area you live in, house or apartment, how many adults, children and pets in the home, where your pet stays when you are out of the house and where your pet will sleep. Please do be aware that Poodle and Maltese breeds require frequent grooming to keep from being matted. If you have written to us before please be patient as we try to get back to everyone but are not always able to do so but appreciate each and every person who is looking to rescue a little pup who is in need of a truly wonderful forever home.
