OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hello! My name is Gryphen (pronounced like Griffin)! :) The name sounds tough, but my foster dad says it's because my heart is so big! I love spending time with my foster family when they're home, and when they leave I have my foster siblings to play with and a whole backyard to explore! Above all, my favorite things to do are cuddle on your lap, lay down for a belly rub, and play outside with my foster siblings! I make friends with everyone I meet, people and pup alike! My foster parents say that I'm the sweetest, most loving dog they've ever met. I am quiet around the house unless I'm playing or hear something funny in the wind. My foster parents are potty and kennel training me and I'm trying my hardest to learn! They're understanding since I'm not even a year old yet and say I'll have it down in no-time. I'm still learning a few things, but I know I would make a great addition to any family. I can't wait to meet my forever family! Hurry and put in an application for me! My foster dad says that whoever finds me would be as grateful to have me as I am to have them! Gryphen is a male Shepherd mix that we estimate to be born around 3/1/2018 and currently weighs 40 lbs. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
