A5201914 Abigail | Pit Bull/Rhodesian Ridgeback A5201914 Abigail is an affectionate 5-year-old caramel-and-chocolate female mixed-breed dog (the shelter has her listed as a Pit Bull but volunteers do not see a lot of Pit Bull in her and more German Shepherd and/or Lab) who was surrendered by her previous owners to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 19th because they could no longer care for her. Weighing 68 lbs, Abigail is sweet and playful and will be a great buddy. She needs a little training because she pulls on leash, but she's likely to learn quickly to please the person she loves. Of course, she sailed through her shelter-administered temperament test. Friendly Abigail will give a few kisses to people she likes but she's appropriately affectionate and not at all overbearing. Abigail likes other dogs and we expect would be happy to have a calm doggy brother or sister to play with at home. We also expect she would be a great family dog in a household with kids. Abigail will be a wonderful addition to a home where she is a central part of family life with lots of activity and affection.
