SOMIN - a 3 yr old SKYE Terrier did not do well at all in the high kill shelter in Kern County CA. He was fearful and tried to bite the anyway ignorant staff when they tried to approach - so be came 'RESCUE ONLY'. After a dog has lost already a home, was found stray and had by that time lost all confidence in people based on their behavior - he ended up where his nightmare became even worse. Since AnimalDefense Rescue.org pulled him and saved him out of this place he showed already a different behavior at the boarding place he is now. He starts trusting again. he could barely see out of his eyes, was matted and showed signs of a upper respiratory infection (which is treated already). SIMON will have a better life ahead. He weights about 15 lbs, is microchipped, will be neutered and will have through vet check done before he can up to WA on a ground transport around Thanksgiving. That gives ADR.org enough time to vet potential adopters. SIMON possibly will not be doing well in a hectic household with young children. If you are interested please email the rescue at [email protected] to receive an application and have an initial thorough conversation over the phone with the founder of ADR.org. WOOF from SIMON)
