The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion Hi! My name is Herman (my nickname is Buddy). I am an adorable little male Papillon mix who is 2 years old and I weigh 8 pounds. I found myself in a very bad place and I was very scared. But all that has changed now since some nice folks from Breeder Release rescued me. Now I'm ready for my furever home! My foster mom let's me sleep in bed with her and her other dogs. We all get along great, and I'm very quiet in bed and have no accidents during the night. I am very sweet, would love to have a full-time parent and a warm lap.....and no children please. I lost my front leg in an accident but you would never know I am any different. I get around just fine, and I can even navigate stairs. I love to play in my yard, go for walks, and I'm calm and quiet in the car. I get along well with the six other dogs in my foster home, and I don't mind cats either! Love, Herman 092218-01
