He was not in very good shape and heartworm positive. He has been medically treated for all the issues he had when rescued. Most were minor issues like, skin, ears, neutering, urinary tract infections and grooming. He has also been treated for heartworm. He is now ready for his forever home. Benji is a stubborn dog (Shih Tzu) and determined (Yorkie). He is also very smart. He is playful and LOVES being in the backyard, but would rather be where you are. He does not like being picked up or held unless he initiates the affection and on his terms. He loves sitting in your lap. He will stay by your side when in the yard working and sometimes will help with the gardening.
