I acquired a Pitbull that was destined to be euthanized and as she was only about 8 mos old, I wanted to give her a chance. I have 3 other dogs and it became very clear that she expressed her need for dominance over them which caused stress and unbalance in my home. I hired a trainer for 30-day on-site training but she came home and immediately picked up where she left off but this time she actually became physical with my other dogs. By herself, she's sweet, loves her tummy scratched, plays fetch and loves to run. My grand kids love her to death and she shows no aggression to them. But in the presence of another dog, she cannot be trusted. I did a DNA analysis on her and she is pure Pit and has a high genetic marker for wolf. Regardless, I am unable to keep her because of the disruption she has caused in my home. I don't want her to fall into the wrong hands.
