About Chance

Chance is a very loving Shepherd Mix. He is great with adults and older children. Because of his size and the fact that he has not ben around youngert children, except for my five year old niece, I do not know how he would be with a young child. He is both dog and cat aggressive and has a strong prey instint. The perfect home for Chance would be one where he is the only animal. He has basic training and listens well, except when his prey instint takes over, therefor he need a masterful loving handler. He loves being outside during the day and inside at night. He cuddles with me every night in my room, which I keep locked so he can not harm our other dogs who are in the rest of our home. As background, he wasn't always agressive towards dogs. We have had hm for almost 7 years and he always got along with our other dogs until one day our Husky and him went to drink water at the same time and it became a dominance issue. That was about two years ago and we have tried everything but at this time we are worried that if we keep him it will not end well for our other dogs. Having said that he does deserve a loving home where he can love and be loved, it just has to be a home where he is the only animal.
