About Abel

Abel is a Blue and Razorback pit. He was badly abused and neglectedn by his previous owners. He is kennel trained so the kennel works for house training. But, the kennel is one way he was previously neglected. So you may see some resistance going in or extreme hyperness coming out. Hes still in need of a lot more leash training. I have been successful with some obedience training. But he still needs a lot of attention, patience and love. He has attacked once before. Nothing viscous. But still an attack. We believe it was the male previous owner that abused him as he struggles to accept and warm up to most men. I would not call him safe around children until more extensive training has proven successful. He truly is a wonderful dog and has taken to our family well. He just wont come around to other people. In my opinion, he needs lots of space that can contain him. And someone who has more knowledge and resources then I have at this time. With the right environment and properly educated owner, he could have a long worry free life. I myself just do not have the knowledge to help an animal that has been this mistreated. He does have a kennel, food/water bowls, leash/collar/and harness, toys, food, and treats. He is also microchipped.
