About Lady

This is Lady. She was found on the side of the road in Charlotte, NC in June. We searched for her owners with no avail. We also reached out to several rescues with either no response or no one to take her so we decided to try to accept her into our pack of 3 other dogs. When she was found she was abandoned, malnourished, and heartworm positive. She is believed to be around 2 years old and a pit mix however confirmed breed/s is unknown. We paid for her heartworm treatment and is now heartworm free. However, due to the heartworm treatment is unable to be spayed until a few months from her last treatment. She has experienced her first heat. We accepted her into our pack of 3 other dogs; but Over the last few weeks she has become increasingly aggressive towards the 3 to the point that now she must be kept separate from the rest of them. She is a needy-ish dog that likes to be by her owner at all times. Several things have been tried to correct the aggressive behavior but at this time we just aren't able to do it anymore. She is a big cuddle bug and enjoys being by your side. Her compatibility with children and cats is unknown at this time. But what is known is she needs to be the only dog in the household. Because of the uncertainly of her past we are unsure of what other behavioral issues may become present in the future. We would like for her to go to a loving home that will be able to cater to her needs and help her in a way we desperately wanted to but unable to maintain.
