About Zomze

Zomze was adopted from the Wetnose Animal Shelter around 8 years ago. He was on a farm with 20 other dogs, and had been badly neglected. It took a lot of effort, patience and time on our part, but a more loving dog you will not find. We are unfortunately unaware of how old Zomze currently is since he was adopted. If we had to guess, we would say Zomze must be around 10 years old. Zomze is a very sweet boy who is fond of the outdoors. He prefers to sit in the sun and hunt in the garden, rather than be indoors. However, at night, he becomes the perfect cuddling partner. Zomze is incredibly loyal and loving, and although he tolerates our two year old daughter, he is not fond of being accosted by children. He is also always happy to see people. Zomze has a bit of a sensitive stomach and must be fed Hills or Eukenuba dog food. He also struggles to breathe a bit when he becomes overly excited. Zomze is completely house-trained and obeys instructions. He does not bite, barks only when there is something to bark at, and is generally extremely well behaved (we have taught him to respond to clicking fingers). He has become a bit spoilt and must sleep indoors at night. He will not run out of a gate. We are absolutely devastated to have to look for a new homes for our child, but we are emigrating shortly and we have no doubt that Zomze will not make the flight. He will also will not sustain a shelter and we are not going to a dog-friendly house. We are doing what we believe to be best for Zomze, and carting him across the world is not ideal for his age. If you have a lot of love to give, this dog will accept it gladly and you will never be lonely again.
