About Festus

Licking his lips in anticipation of his next adventure, Festus packs his 10-pound frame with friendliness, sweetness and playfulness. He loves snuggling with his fosters on the sofa in the evening to watch TV and insists on sleeping under the covers with them at night. He also loves having his belly rubbed and will roll over onto his back on the couch or in the yard when he's feeling especially spunky. Initiating play with the other dogs if he's in the mood, he loves helping them chase squirrels in the yard, loves chasing after a ball, and since he's highly food motivated, he accepts any and all treats. He does well in the car, is leash trained, knows 'sit', 'stay' and 'come', and is working on 'down' and 'off' and on his protective behaviors. Housetrained to use the doggy door, he's not a fan of his crate, but once he settles in, he settles down. Now all friendly Festus needs is a loving home to complete his training and keep him both happy and occupied always.
