This is Dakota! Dakota was found living on her own in the woods this summer. She is approximately 1 year old, up to date on all of her shots and spayed. Dakota is shy at first, but is such a goofy girl once she gets to know you- she LOVES to run and play soccer and really loves cuddles! Dakota's ideal FOREVER family would be someone with an active lifestyle that could provide Dakota with lots of love and attention, as well as adventure! Although she has done well around kids of most ages, we do feel she would best be placed in a home with older kids or no kids at all. She wants to be the center of her owners attention and doesn't like to share that attention much. She would also do better with a female owner and she is quite shy and skittish around males, especially when it comes to discipline. She is still learning all of her manners, so she will need a gentle but firm owner to help her learn exactly how she is supposed to behave. She is house broken and is working on crate training but really doesn't like to be left alone for too long (and loves to escape her crate!) We are looking for someone who is familiar with the German Shepherd breed and temperament, and the training that comes along with that - to provide Dakota with a loving home for the rest of her long life! She has already had a rough start and just wants someone to love and spend time with!
