About Riley

Riley is a classic min pin. He is full of energy and loves to jump and eat. He is obsessed with food. Obsessed. He will be 7 years old in June. We have had Riley since he was 8 weeks old. We had no idea what it would take to care for a min pin/chihuahua mix. He knows a few basic commands - not for any length of time - but needs training. A trainer has told us that his breed is extremely difficult to train. He needs the patience we don't have. He's a very affectionate dog and loves to snuggle but can be possessive about toys. He would not do well in a home with younger kids or other male dogs or any cats. He prefers to be the dominant dog. Walking him is challenging. He has to lead and even then he pulls the leash or wiggles out of his collar or harness. If you love and have experience with min pins then Riley is the perfect dog for you. Riley is healthy. He weighs 18 lbs. He is current on all shots and has a check up every six months. He recently had his teeth cleaned. We have two cats and another small dog. I am the main caregiver and his hyperactivity makes my anxiety worse. He really needs a home where he is the only dog and he can receive most or all of the attention.
