About Macy

Macy was rescued from the high kill Devore, Ca shelter on August 13, 2018. She was extremely pregnant, covered in ticks and scabs, only 14lbs and you could see her spine. I was able to get her home, get all the ticks off (over 200) and within four hours she delivered six large puppies! Macy was so happy to be in a home with people who cared for her that she always wanted to be with us. She is a great mamma and loves to play with her puppies now that they are older. She's ready for her new home where she can be center of attention! Macy takes a minute to warm up but once she knows she can trust you she will never want to leave your side. Treat based training has worked very well for her. She loves toys and laps, giving kisses and walks. She's housetrained, knows how to use a dog door, sits and loves toys. Macy wants to go everywhere with you. She does need additional training, as she was never once trained before we got her. She does well on a leash, needs and knows come, needs to work on coming consistently and having boundaries. Within the 10 weeks we have had her, she has done amazing gained weight and is. now 20lbs and is a very smart girl.
