About Independence

Independence is a 16 week old mini poodle and currently weighs 10 pounds. He is a sweet, lovable boy that is just your typical puppy behaviors. Independence was given to us because he is deaf and his owners didn't know how to deal with that. Deaf dogs are not hard to train they just need to be trained in a different way. He will need a family that is willing to take the time to train him with hand movements. Because he is deaf, he will need a physical fence yard or will only be allowed out on a harness and leash. It would be best for Independence to have another dog in the home so he has someone to reply on for hearing. He has been neutered, microchip, bordetella, UTD on shots including rabies and current on flea/heartworm preventative. Since we are 100% foster based rescue, only approved applications will be contacted to set up a meet and greet with the fur baby. We do not allow shipping and do not transport so you must be able to come to O'Fallon, IL area for meet and greet/adoption.
