About Murphy

Murphy is a very loving and playful dog in the home and will even play with visitors in the home once he knows they're safe. He is great with children who are able to recognize body language and know not to corner him or when to give him space (our 5 year old is great with this but the 12 year old does not recognize this). Murphy has anxiety and is afraid of all other animals, as well as people and movement/sounds when outside of the home. We have been working with a behavioral medicine veterinarian and Murphy is much improved on his medications. Unfortunately, our home is no longer a good fit for Murphy. Murphy would do incredibly well in a quiet home with a yard so that he can get more exercise. He is crate trained and enjoys running in open areas, but will not go on walks due to his anxiety.
