About ZOEY BEAR

I am please to introduce to you ZOEY BEAR,,, Zoey Bear has not had the best past life, but we want to change that for her. She was an owner surrender in Madisonville TN she was taking to an overcrowded kill shelter. Her past is unknown; however, it does appear she was used for breeding. She is only two years old. She loves to play, be with her human, and she is high energy she will run circle around you. However, she also loves to sit and or lay next to you or on you. At our rescue she did live with a more mature 13 year old female chihuahua; however, there were times they did not get along. I have tried to introduce her to other male dogs and if she is outside her territory she is fine with them but once they enter into her room she would growl at them. So at this time I will say she will be best to be an only pet in the home. I have not had her around children; however, I do feel she would be better around older children who respect animals. Zoey Bear does not like to be caged or crated she will become aggressive. Zoey has perfect Pee Pad manors and only uses pee pads inside the home... She does not pee or poop away from her pads. Also for some reason we have found she fears the outside. This will take time and patience for her to over come. It would be best if you started by taking her outside holding her only for a short while and then return her into the home. Unfortunately their past is unknown, when they are dumped in the south no questions are asked. We can only guess and from what I am seeing she may have been crated all the time and used as a breeding dog, she has never been able to enjoy puppy hood or the finer things in life. Something has happened to her outside and we are not sure what may have happened, weather she was left outside to live, or kenneled out side during storms, we have no idea. What I can tell you about her is once she gets to know you she is such a fun, loving, happy lady. She is a blast to watch running around and enjoying all the good things in life. She is a wonderful companion who will not only keep you company but make you laugh with her antic. She loves to hoard things and hide things so don't be surprised if you sit down on a snack giving a day or two ago.. She is going to make someone a wonderful companion, someone who is willing to love her unconditionally, be patient with her until she knows she is safe, and be the only pet.
