About FIFi

Adoption Fee: $550
Fox Terrier mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

FIFI was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved. FIFI is spayed, core vaccines, rabies, de-wormed and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 23 July 2018 and at the time of rescue at the end of September 2018 weighed around 7 pounds. She is listed as a Bolognese mix. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely. FIFI is a pup that when she has made up her mind to do something she sets out to do it. She loves to be close by and has climbed up on top of a bunk bed, climbed over a baby gate just to get to where I was. She doesn't want to run off, just loves to be cuddled and share her love. When in the car, she will sneak up and lie next to my leg. just wanting to be close. She is truly an adorable young girl. She is a fun active girl and does enjoy playing and wrestling with the other dogs, from the dogs and pups her size up to 120 pound German Shepherds, she is not intimidated by them and will chase as best she can and then when it is nap time she will snuggle up to them, when she can't get to me. Since she is used to being around a lot of dogs, we really prefer that she be adopted to a family who either wants to adopt another puppy or dog, who already has another dog, or who can provide a lot of socialization for her with other dogs. She could be scared and lonely and will be missing her pack family. She is still very puppy and so expect to work with her on puppy things. She needs an active family and one that will keep her mind stimulated and challenged. Lots of hikes and adventures, training tricks, or agility, dock diving or other fun, active, stimulating activities would be perfect for this girl. As with all rescue's she needs guidance and training and we recommend families go through at least the basics of training with her themselves so that boundaries, personalities and body language can be learned from each other. %BD'%BD%BDWe do not have cats or livestock at the rescue so we cannot say how she would be around them. She is great with humans and children. %BD'%BD%BDWe do not recommend dog parks especially with him being so young for several months, it is so very important for families and dogs to form a strong bond and get to know each other before exposing them to the potential dangers of dog parks. Although all GaDaH dogs are very well socialized with other dogs, lots of other dogs have not had the benefit of this socialization and do not always know how to play and act with other dogs. You also do not know the control the other families have over their dogs and you should always have a good recall for your adopted dog before going to dog parks. All dogs (except dogs saved from China) are available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.
