OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. A FUREVER HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS - that is what I dream about every night! My foster mom says you're out there but we just haven't found each other yet. When I dream about you I see a kind, patient and caring person or family who falls in love with me pretty quickly after you get to know me. You may have another small dog in your home who can pl ay with me. Or, you may work at home or part-time or better yet, not at all so you're home with me more. I'm not used to spending a lot of time alone so it might not work out as well if you're gone all day, every day. But hey, that's what doggy day care and play dates with other dogs are all about. My foster mom checked out Chinese Cresteds (that's what I am) and learned that we are known to be as fun as we look: playful, loving and devoted to our humans! We are sensitive and need to be trained with gentle patience. She said I fit that bill! I like to cuddle and play with toys and the other dogs. I sleep all night in my crate without any accidents. I do need to tell you a little about my history - I was rescued by K-9 Angels from a hoarding situation several weeks ago. Not long after that I broke a front leg. My leg is now healed and I'm ready to go! It will take me a little while to get to know you and be comfortable but if you're patient, it will work out just fine. The Adoption Center scares me (it's noisy and so many people moving around!) so it's hard for me to put my best foot forward when meeting someone new. My foster mom says she will be happy to talk to you about me any time. Please visit me at the Adoption Center this weekend. The holidays will be here before you know it and I'd love to spend them with you!! Croissant is a Female Chinese Crested that we estimate to be around 1-2 years old and weighs about 8 pounds. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
