About Vincent

Vincent is a young, (age 1ish) male Vizsla who was an unclaimed stray. He can be a bit leery of strangers but warms up. Vincent is in need of a low-key home with an individual who has Vizsla experience and some patience to help work with him. Vince is not fairing well at the kennel. He is nervous and does not want to eat as much as he should. As you can see, it is impacting his already thin frame. We have been putting off getting his vetting complete because of this. (He's now scheduled for his neuter surgery.) Vince is fairly independent and minimally affectionate. As he gets more and more comfortable, there is improvement. He is happy to come up for some pets and love on occasion. He keeps his kennel clean which means he is likely house trained. He is also very comfortable in a kennel and goes back in on command. We believe Vince would be ok with older children and for the time being, an only pet. He is selective around other dogs, but this too will probably improve away from the kennel environment. We are unsure how he does with cats. Vince does well in the car and has done well with handling at the vet's office. He definitely settles away from the high energy environment of the kennel life. Upon adoption, Vince will be up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
