About Kirby

Introducing Kirby! He is a white Jack Russell Chihuahua mix who is 12 months old and weighs 10 pounds. Kirby was found as a stray. He had been injured by a car and was taken to the Animal Hospital of Pensacola where they performed surgery on his jaw and nursed him back to to health. We are doing our best to get him to take things easy but, at only 12 months old, that's a bit of a tall order! He is kind of excited to be able to run around again so he can be a handful as he has a lot of pent up energy to expend. A fenced yard Is required as he loves to explore so needs to be contained in a safe area. Kirby doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet but in our experience it only takes a few days to acclimate a dog to the feel of a leash by keeping one attached to the harness when in the house. He knows how to use the dog door so can take care of business independently! Kirby is also a bit of a talker but by that we don't mean he is a barker! He just likes to 'talk' to you in his own language! Did we mention that he's still a puppy? He loves to play and is always busy. He gets on well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats. He hasn't been tested with children either but he has such a sweet disposition, we expect that he would be fine with them. Kirby is very sweet and loving and has very unique, beautiful eyes. Hard to tell from the picture but they have a blue ring around them. He also has the cutest curly tail!l In fact, he's got it all in one super cute package! He's handsome, he's fun, he's sweet, he's affectionate and he'll keep you fit! What more could you ask for? Fill in that application right away! He's looking forward to meeting you!
