Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet. Elton John, maybe bichon poodle mix, neutered, 18.2 lbs tan, 2 years old. Look at those eyes, how could anyone abandon this little man who just wants to be loved & dump him in a high kill shelter. Elton John was from a very high kill shelter & he unfortunately was on a list where he needed out in CA, he had 2 cherry eyes that badly needed surgery & was not doing well in the shelter environment at all so we rescued him as we were not leaving him & bought him back to WA & this little man is looking for a loving family who possibly has another little dog in the home for him to play with, he loves, loves to run & play with other dogs so in his new forever home the new has to keep in mind he has puppy energy. If Elton John's people were retired or home all day & could spend all day taking him on walks, playing with him, this also would work for him. Elton John needed quite a bit of money spent on him & we have spent over $1500 on him. He is a neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, he is a male Bichon/poodle mix we believe but what he is mixed with we do not know for sure. He weighs roughly just over 18.2 lbs, is up to date on his shots, heart worm negative, chipped, unfortunately he needed 4 cherry eye surgeries on both eyes, but on one eye it kept returning so he had 3 tucked on the same eye. Elton John loves other dogs & great with people, we have not had him around children but he does really well around teenagers & we have not had him around cats before. Elton John's foster family said he is very affectionate & playful loves to be with you & gives you his belly for rubs. Good with dogs good on a leash good in the car comes when called eager & to please. While he was at our vets receiving his surgeries & recovering everyone fell in love with him & always said what a sweetheart he is. The foster family also said in their home he is doing well with his potty training & is a smart happy boy with some puppy energy. Elton John has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. We do not know for sure what breed Elton John is & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Elton John's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Also please do not email us asking is Elton John available or potty trained as we will will not respond. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training will in fact take them to training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Elton John & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Elton John that meet all the requirements for this adorable little fellow. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Elton has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for his forever home. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.
