Okay okay, I'm Keely and I am a fantastic little treasure who just found my way into Augusta Dog Adoptions from the local shelter in Waynesboro. My foster is still learning about me, but keep reading for some Keely facts! I am an Olympic champion at leash walking. I prefer a harness for peak performance and style reasons; it's just so slimming and there's so much room for activities! Despite what you may have heard about Pit Bulls, I am fantastic with kids of all ages. My foster mom has young children and man, I think they're just the best (especially when they give me Nilla wafers)! I'm also very social and great with other dogs, I just need to be introduced properly. I appear to be house trained and crate trained, but my foster mom wants to observe me for a few more days before she makes any promises on those. I'm doing well with her cat so far, but she is tempting to chase and play with, so that's another thing the ol' foster mom wants to do some more Keely research on. I am an expert at sit and shake, and thanks to all the brains in my big Pit Bull noggin, I bet you could teach me all kinds of stuff. Come say hello to me at the Waynesboro Petsmart on Saturdays between 10 AM and 2 PM. We don't have to listen to Drake, but you do need to prepare yourself to fall instantly in love with me. Oh, and bring a pen so you can sign your adoption contract faster than the other people, you sure don't want to miss out on me, friend! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
