About Louie

Lab mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Here's Louie! He's 11 weeks old and guessed to be a Lab/ boxer mix. He's 11 lbs and tries to eat like he's 50 lbs. Louie is still being potty trained, as he's just a pup but he's actually done wonderfully and had very few accidents in the house. He's gone days now without any accidents in his crate. Though keep in mind he's only in his crate for overnight. He has done well being in a crate for a couple of hours during the day if he's left alone. Louie loves to cuddle and he loves to play. He currently has a 7 month old (much bigger) dog that he loves to wrestle around with. Talk about all bark, no bite. I'm convinced he thinks he's a giant. Louie is fearless and curious. He also lives with a 4 year old kid who he adores! He's all over the place at some times. And begging to be in your lap for some cuddles and sleep at other times. He comes to his name but hasn't gotten to the concept of too much else since he's such a busy body! Louie will do well with anybody who is willing to put in the love and work it takes to raise a new adorable puppy. Come out and meet Louie! You're bound to fall in love at first snuggle. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
