About Georgia

Lab / Boxer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Say hi to Georgia! She's guessed to be some sort of terrier mix. Around 7 months and about 30 lbs. She's got a decent sized scar on her back that the shelter thinks came from barbed wire she crawled under. We say it adds character! Georgia is hyper around a crowd, but as soon as she's in a comfortable home all she wants is lovin! She thinks she's a lap dog and will climb on yours any chance she gets. Be prepared to share your couch, because where you are, she is. Though if you set up a comfy bed on the floor, she's happy there too. Georgia is great with using the bathroom outside, but has had a couple of accidents. She will need a few reminders and taking out every couple of hours until she gets the complete hang of it and used to her new home. In a crate, she is great! No accidents and no complaints. Georgia currently has a foster puppy brother who is around 10 weeks old... They LOVE playing together. And she has a foster HUMAN sister who is 4 years old. She is fantastic around the child. Gentle, loving, and sweet. I don't think Georgia went on many walks at her old home so she's still getting the hang of a leash and staying calm, but she's gotten so much better in such a short period of time. She knows sit and lay down. She's working on stay. She loves to run around the back yard chasing whatever will run. And she's great at coming to you when you call her. Georgia is a dog you will easily fall in love with. She deserves a human family that will give her all of the love she deserves. She has so much potential. all she needs is a family that is willing to love her the way she'll love them. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
