Sweet Potato is a 5 year old 11 pound black Terrier Chi Mix who was used as a puppy mill dog and when she became too old to breed her owners abandoned her near the freeway. A good Samaritan found her and brought her to the shelter so she would not be hit by a car. It was later discovered at the shelter that because Sweet Potato was forced to stay in a small cage for the majority of her life that her legs became bowed and she waddles when she walks. This does not seem to slow her down because she runs and walks around well around the house and yard. Sweet Potato is very affectionate and loving and likes to be a lap dog and would do better in a household with older children. She gets along with other dogs and is potty trained and is vaccinated, micro chipped, and spayed.
