About Shiloh

Meet Shiloh, an adorable 4-month-old, longer haired Beagle mix puppy who came to IL from TN with her siblings. Shiloh is quite shy and startles easily. She is beginning to adjust to life in a home with new noises and expectations. She does not like to be crated and will make sure you know by emitting the most epic beagle noises while attempting a Houdini like escape. She has been sleeping with her people at night and she appears to bond very closely with her person whom she follows around. She is still having a few accidents inside but as she gets more settled and comfortable we expect training to become easier. Shiloh is in the very early stages of learning how to walk on a leash. She is still too scared to venture too far and gets a bit stubborn if you try to convince her to move. Unfortunately, she is not very food motivated which makes attempting to make her move less successful but maybe we haven't found her favorite treat just yet. Shiloh loves to snuggle and is comfortable sitting in your lab enjoying all the attention. She will curl up next to you on the couch and sleep soundly until a burst of energy makes her shoot off and into the toy bin where she goes through every single toy in no time. She is great with other dogs and she has been staying with an almost 2-year-old foster brother who is much bigger than her. It didn't take her long to start playing with him and chasing him in the yard. It was the first signs of what an amazing dog she will be once she learns to trust the world around her. During her stay in IL, she has also been around kids as young as 4. She is very sweet and allows kids to pet and hold her. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
