About Charlie

Meet Charlie!! A true BIRD DOG that LOVES being outside and on the hunt for any birdie trespassers. He would make a great and loyal hunting buddy!! Charlie is a 2 year old pure bred male English Settler. He weighs approx 55 pounds. He was evaluated by a professional trainer and passed his temperment test with flying colors! He's already neutered, microchipped and fully up to date on shots. He's been on heartworm and flea prevention and comes with several more months worth of each. Charlie is great with dogs and kids although he loves to lick them ���%81 He hasn't been around cats. He is fully Potty trained, he stands at the door when he needs to go. He is crate trained but does well sectioned off to a room free of items you don't want him to chew. His dog beds do mysteriously explode from time to time. A fleece blanket is suggested so it won't be chewed. Charlie is calm inside but will play out in the yard with the kids for hours and hours. They have a fenced yard and he will run laps as long as your outside with him. He's great on a leash(with a harness) except when he sees a bird, he's true to the breeds nature when birds are involved!! Charlie does have severe separation anxiety. He would be wonderful for a person or family that is home a lot or able to take him with them. Anxiety behaviors are chewing things, pacing, whining and recently he Peed in the house. These behaviors can be corrected with confidence building training techniques, exercise etc. but he'd be happiest with a family that was home a lot. Medication has been tried but he's got a sensitive stomach so it upset him. CBD oil is another great option to try! He's worth the effort!! His owner say he's one of the most gentle dogs They have ever been around. He's a very sweet dog. He loves his Kong and belly rubs. He knows sit, stay, and drop it.
