About Penny

Come say hi to precious Penny! She is a 4 year old Yorkie mix who weighs 7 and a half pounds. She came to us from a neighboring shelter where she was brought in as a stray and never claimed. Penny is super sweet and loving as well as very calm and compliant. We dressed her up for Halloween and she posed for as many pictures as we could take! She is trained to use a puppy pad when in the house if she can't get outside, but will use the pet door to go outside independently otherwise. Penny gets along well with other smalls dogs and is good with cats. She loves attention and snuggling up with her person. She is heartworm positive and currently being treated for that. We use the slow kill method which is both simple and effective. All she needs is an Advantage Multi topical treatment once every month which is a standard heartworm, flea and tick treatment. The adopter must agree to continue the treatment and the rescue will pay for retest at 6 months or until she tests negative. Penny is a delightful little girl and will be a wonderful addition to any home. She so deserves a second chance. Are you willing to let her steal your heart away?
