About Thanatos

Thanatos is a project dog. Wer escued him from the Humane Society in April of this year. We have spent thousands of dollars on training for Thanatos and he has completed 6 weeks of doggy boot camp. He is an extremely well trained dog. He was taught all his commands in Bulgarian so his new owners will have to learn them. His trainers all agree he is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat making him extremely trainable. He is a man's dog. Thanatos loves curling up on dads lap for a cuddle/loves fest. He bonds fast with all adult males in his life fast. We believe at some point Thanatos was abused by a Blonde female. This makes him extremely skittish/defensive around females, blondes more then brunettes. I am a blonde female and with lots of bribery,love, hard work and dedication I was able to earn Thanatos's trust. If you have the patience he will love you. Thanatos should not be in a home with children. He is bipolar with them. He will be middle of a pet he asked for then bite them for petting him as he wanted minutes earlier. This is the reason we are re-homing him. We have 2 children age 11 and 16 and he bite both this week while they were petting him. We love and adore Thanatos but we can not keep a dog who thinks he is above our children in the Hierarchy of our pack. The prefect home for him would be a male only household with no children. He loves running so if you are looking for a new running buddy he will be happy to fill that spot. He needs a large yard so he can run and play ball. We have a small apartment and are not sure if this is causing some of his negative behaviors. He also loves the outdoor. He is up for all the hiking and camping you want to do. Please consider him. We do not want to take him the the Humane Society as they euthanize him but our children's safety comes first.
