About Penelope

Introducing precious Penelope! She is a Chihuahua/Pekingese mix who is about 4 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Penelope came to us from a neighboring shelter where she had been taken as a stray along with her sister, who has been adopted. Penelope was also recently adopted but it wasn't a good fit for her so we took her back, per our adoption policy. She has a great personality! Penelope loves to cuddle and follow you around. She is friendly with all dogs and likes people. She has not been tested with cats or kids but she is very good natured so would probably do fine with kids from about 5 years and older. Penelope likes to run and play in the backyard though she's not big on playing with toys. We think that may be because she's never had any before now so she's not sure what to do with them yet. Penelope has had a full health check, is current on all her shots and is heartworm negative. She loves attention and will sit up on her back legs to let you know when she feels she isn't getting enough! She is such a sweetheart and will be a great addition to any family.
