About Ollie

Adoption Fee: 175
Rat Terrier / Border Collie
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Ollie is a very sweet, gentle and loving, 32-pound male tri-color Border Collie-mix looking for a loving guardian. He is a senior guessed to be at least 12 years old but could be older. Ollie was rescued from a shelter in Kentucky and transported to Chicago to find a home. He is absolutely wonderful with other dogs. He loves walks, and when I brought him to the blessing for animals at a Chicago church he made friends with everyone - humans and dogs alike. Ollie loves to be loved and lets anyone pet him. He just loves humans. He is housebroken, quiet and crate-trained. His eyesight isn't great, but he gets around just fine and can even do stairs. He is quite spry for his age and still likes to play. He was recently neutered, is up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm and fecal-tested. He has a grade 4 heart murmur. He had a chest x-ray and his heart is not enlarged, so the vet says he does not require medication at this point but may need to be started on medication in the future. He also had a recent dental and had most of his teeth pulled, but he still likes to chew on bones and has no trouble eating dry kibble. Ollie's adoption donation of $175 benefits the rescued pets of Pal's Place.
