About Archie

Pomeranian mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Oh, Archie!!!! What a cutie-patootie this little guy is. Archie came to us from a family that hated to part with him but could no longer keep him due to losing their home. He had been a therapy dog for one of the family up until then, so you know his personality is tip top! Archie is gorgeous with his long flowing red hair, and he looks very proper, but don't let that fool you! This little guy is quick to play with you. His antics will have you laughing and brighten anyone's day. If that doesn't do it for you, just petting his soft locks will settle your soul. And though this little guy is definitely part Pomeranian he is one of the quietest little dogs you'll ever meet. Archie does gerat with small dogs but does not like large dogs. He is okay with cats. Kids? If they are older, say 10 or above, he will be fine with them. He will come near a younger child who is sitting. But we are asking that his adoptive family not have children living in the home under 10 years old. Archie does great in a crate, in the car, and on walks. He LOVES his walks! If Archie is the dog you have been looking for to make your home complete then read on or go to the Adoption Process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
