About Lily

Lily is a very sweet 12 year old dapple Dachshund. She may have been mishandled in another life and as a result it takes a little time for her to trust her humans. We've been working on her��%BD��%BD%BD%A0with her paws being touched and the matted fur under her arms being trimmed. She has been to the groomer on a few occasions and they tell me she was a perfect lady! Lily wants to trust and loves to be petted but if she is uncertain will indicate she is nervous. The key is to be patient and to show her you mean no harm. Once she trust you she will roll over and let you pet her belly!��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Lily is slightly overweight but is very agile and mobile. She loves spending time outside looking at nature. She also loves walks although I am not sure how far she can reasonably go. She loves squeak toys and chew toys and will throw them up in the air to chase them. Lily has some food allergies which affect her ears, causing ear infections. The ear infections are best mitigated with a salmon only dog food diet. Lily is being fostered in Califon, NJ.
