About Blackie

**COURTESY POST** BLACKIE is a 5-year-old Lab mix who was being cared for by a friend (of a friend) of our rescue. What was supposed to be a temporary situation changed when BLACKIE's person said she didn't want him anymore and to 'just turn him loose.' um, yeah, you heard that right. Our friend obviously couldn't do that, but she also can't manage another dog long term so she asked us to help her find BLACKIE a new home. Here's what we know: BLACKIE is a 63 lb dog, who is dog and kid friendly. He is neutered & UTD on rabies. He is crate and house trained and walks well on the leash.
