Tate will be 6 in December. Great watch dog and hunting dog. From time to time has been unpredictably aggressive toward people who come on to our property or when made anxious. Has nipped at people from time to time and actually bitten a person once who came onto our grounds unannounced. Honestly, I don't want to part with this dog, as he has been a great pet/companion to me. Loves playing ball. Will chase a tennis ball forever. Great with our grandchildren. I don't hunt myself but I'm sure he wishes I did. My wife is concerned, though, that he will sometime bite someone who might sue us. I want to make sure he goes to a home with folks who will care for him. A farm or a place with some acreage around it would be great. We live on two acres and have an electric fence that goes around an acre and a half of it. He doesn't leave our property unless he's traveling with me, which he loves to do. Tate is medium-sized for a short hair, 65 lbs. and liver colored with a little white ticking ... beautiful. He's had a great life so far and I want to make sure that his next owner provides him the same.
