About Snow-ADOPTION PENDING

Maltese / Poodle
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Snow is the pup you want to have around! Snow, at just about 2.5 years old (such a great age..old enough to have left babyish ways behind and young enough to have many, many active and healthy years ahead) and about 13 lbs, is initially a bit hesitant (who wouldn't be with all the changes in her life)...then the most bonded and loving girl around. Snow enjoys her time with her foster mom so much that she joins her just about everywhere...she's a loyal and loving best friend! Snow loves and develops trust in people who are kind and respectful to her. She's a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from her time spent with gentle, dog-loving people. Snow also enjoys other dogs (unknown with cats). Snow has proven herself to be a kind and gentle girl who loves to cuddle and spend joyful time with her people and gentle dogs. . This absolutely adorable girl exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Snow's life to this point has been challenging but has left no visible scars on the personality of this devoted and sweet pup. Snow's foster mom had the following to say about this great girl: Snow's story is heartbreaking...she was found on the busy and heartless New Mexico streets searching for a kind face. When her rescuer happened along, Snow melted into her..visibly relieved to have found loving arms that offered warmth and security. One thing Snow's rescuer was sure of...Snow, with a bit of time to acclimate, will be a loyal and very loving best friend..a true gift to a kind and nurturing family. Snow may be initially shy after her long transport and the abrupt changes in her life...with a kind guardian who will give a bit of extra time to settle in, Snow will shine. Snow loves to be around people and share her love and friendship with all who are kind to her. Retirees or a younger family who works from home would be perfect for this sweet girl. Snow is always open (and thrilled) about a hike on mountain trails or neighborhood walks to socialize with dog-loving neighbors. She's still being taught by her foster about leash skills and is making progress day by day. Snow is playful and enjoys the company of like-sized dogs. She would be thrilled with play-time..and then lying in the grass enjoying the sunshine. Snow's basic nature is to be sweet and kind..once comfortable she's a joy to be with in times of fun as well as snuggling close at day's end. Snow's bond to her people leads us to believe that she would be happiest in either a dog-loving retiree's home or with a family who enjoys spending lots of time with their furry best friend. She will blossom with the time and attention that this type of family would offer. Snow is also so portable at just about 13 lbs that she is able to accompany her family just about anywhere...be it under the seat on a plane or riding shotgun in the car... Snow is ready and willing. Snow is a welcome guest in virtually every situation...once comfortable, her joy starts with her little wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her cuter-than-cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend loving time together. Say the word walk ...or simply play together...and Snow couldn't be happier. Off she'll go in anticipation of not only an adventure, but an interaction with loving humans and friendly dogs. Snow has an amazing attitude for a dog from a scary situation... and it was her great temperament, resilience on the streets and love of life that saved this sweet pup. Snow is a non-shedding girl whose breed mix is considered one of the best available for those who suffer from allergies. Snow will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a daily salmon oil supplement is recommended for longevity and coat care) to keep her beautiful and cottony-soft coat healthy and matt-free. We've requested that Snow be spayed prior to her arrival in Colorado. Since New Mexico rescuers have very limited access to vets and funding...this isn't always possible. Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for Snow's spay and microchip after her arrival on transport in Colorado if one of our rescue vets is used. Snow will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 10/20/18. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and very devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Snow. please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving girl. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
